Umrah/Hajj Tips : What To pack

Salaams all,
As the Hajj season is about us, I thought it would be helpful to check my phones like a few months back I went to Umrah. I initially wrote one issue in the draft but accidentally deleted: :( Sooo, Inshahullah, time-consuming, I'll see something again with pictures :)

I've set a list of what is going to be a general guide if you think about one or later.
3 Pairs loose panties: harem pants or linen trousers.

3 abayas including the package you will wear to the airport. The gowns should not be black. There are people from all over the world wearing their own version of traditional clothing, including long skirts, shawls, shirts, magnifying dresses, etc. A good idea I found it was a long sweater or a loose dress, 3 quarters the length (between the ankle and knee length) with loose trousers underneath. Why? Abayas are usually long and the bottom becomes dust, fast and fast. Saudi Arabia is a desert country so much sand and dust. Plus you will get zamzam water and the flooring will be moist. Not only that, but another good reason not to wear very long abayas is to save from tripping or people who step into it.
3-4 light materials veil. Nothing too thick. Not those magnifying glass that you get everywhere except if you'll be wearing it in the evening. Choose any color or print you want. It should not be just black.

Canvas bag / Lace bag on the shoulder to carry your shoes. Do not leave your shoes on one of the supports in the Grand Mosque or the Prophet's Mosque - you will not be able to find them! Keep it in a bag all the time and put it on the ground when you pray. Everyone does this.

Prayer Carpet - You can either take one or buy from Mecca or Medina. You will not always be able to enter the mosques to pray. If you do, you cannot guarantee a carpeted area. For example, you will pray on marble so that the prayer rug makes it easier / more comfortable.
Snacks: Take chips, biscuits and desserts. I would not recommend chocolates as they melt. Keep some snacks in your bag at all times even when traveling to the airport, in Saudi Arabia where all stories about Saudi airport workers / visa period are correct. They are very S L O W and will not move the queue for at least an hour while taking their sweet time. Not only this but you may find yourself switching queues several times and returning. Organized it is not! The airport is not air conditioned so you may feel faint as my sister did, as snacks and some water will come in handy. Try to get some water from the plane - a bottle or a small plastic bowl.
As we know most of the people go to Umrah in December because its best time related to hotness in Saudi Arabia, So don’t forget to take jackets with you. And if you want to get December umrah packages 2018 you can get it easily at cheap rates.
2 pair flat comfortable shoes / sandals with good grip. Do not choose anything with a flat sole because your feet will feel it with every walk.

Sunglasses and sun

Vaseline and a small group of first aid - Plasters, Sudocrem, Safety pins, Bandage

Norethistrone - If that time of the month will decline as you go to Umrah or Hajj, see your doctor for some medications to delay.
Scissors and nail scissors - ladies, you will need to cut part of your hair after sa'ee performance. We did this again at the hotel, there were many ladies who did it right after performing Umrah but the hair was on the ground which I did not find cleanliness.

Wipes - To clean your hands as well as shoes when they become dusty, just for quick general cleaning on the go.

Toilet paper

A notebook to record the supplications of those that you left behind as well as to keep the notes of your time there.

A small spray bottle for travel - fill it with water (filled me with zamzam: D) Keep in the fridge and take with you to spritz on the face / hands / wrists to keep the cooler. If you cannot pack one, Ben David will sell some of it from 6 riyals.

Tasbih You can praise or buy it from there. The Medina has a PELNTY. You can get a bundle of 10 riyals (less than £ 1.50)

Take a few bottles of empty water to fill with zamzam. Your hotel may save you free bottled water - Movenpick do alhamdulillah.
